Mike Bacsik Autographed 756 Baseball
Whatever else happens in his career, Mike Bacsik has secured a place in baseball history. On August 7, 2007, Bacsik, a pitcher for the Washington Nationals, served up the ball that Barry Bonds crushed for his 756th home run. That shot, of course, broke Hank Aaron's longstanding record of 755 home runs. Intriguingly, Bacsik's father, Michael, faced Aaron in 1976, when he was a pitcher for the Texas Rangers and Aaron was chasing the 756th of his career. Michael yielded only a single and a fly out. Mike Bacsik has hand signed this official MLB baseball and added the inscription, "I gave up HR #756, 8-7-07."
