Jim Clark autographed one-page TLS dated 1963. Clark had just won his first of two world championships and this wonderful content letter was sent to a fan in appreciation of his support. Clark has written in the name of the recipient in the opening, [Dear] “Mr. McCandlick,†followed in part, “I do hope that you will understand why this letter…has been duplicated and why it has taken so many days to reach you….†Clark died in a crash in 1968 at the age of just 32. Even today, many historians consider him to be the greatest of all Formula One racers.
